In this chapter, Kallik and her brother learn how to locate seal pups under a snow pile. The also have to swim short distances because of the ice's rapid disintegration. when Kallik's mother tries to help kallik across a big river, a pack of Orca whales kill her! now Kallik is motherless and on the other side, separated from her little brother. I predict that kallik's brother Taqqiq will not die and that they will meet later on in the story.

This chapter was about the last bear in the Trio named Toklo. Toklo is a brave and somewhat self-centered grizzly bear cub. Toklo always dreams of being a mighty bear that can do whatever he wants to. He is not happy with the fact that he and his mother Oka must stay in the valley of yucky dandelions because his brother Tobi is to sick for travel. There is a bit of hatred between Toklo and Tobi because Toklo feels like he just weighs the family down. I predict that Tobi might cause Oka to sacrifice her own life for him, which might make
Toklo abandon Tobi.

Seekers 2

In this chapter we meet the second bear of the story named Lusa the black bear cub who lives in a zoo. Her father King lived in the wild but was put into captivity and therefore Lusa does not know anything about the outdoors. King and Stella always tell Lusa and her best friend Yogi about the wilderness and how bear spirits live in trees. Lusa seems interested in the wilderness, so I think she will go there later on.
